Pin Bhaba Trek-One Peace of Kashmir In Chest Of Bhaba .
Confluence of Dryness and Greenery. PinBhaba Pass Trekking experience Shared By Us......
It had broken our sleep at night, the sound of a portable speaker from the outside of the tent. Looking at the wristwatch I found the time to be 3:00 AM. Oh! we are late....!!
Opening the chain of the sleeping bag I suddenly sat up (in a rush). I Had only an hour in hand. In between that, we have to complete our packing and move out.... towards our trek. Otherwise, we wouldn't been able to cross the pin
My addiction to trek was not too old. But had realized at the first time I that it's a different feeling. This time surfing through internet I decided the high altitude Pin-Bhaba Pass. In this trek from Bhaba valley, we had to reach Pin and Spiti Valley. In Bhaba Valley there were forests, River and an abundance of greenery. But Pin and Spiti Valley were rough and Dry. I contacted a valley trekking agency and left Kolkata in a September Morning. That Time it was a trek of eight days. Out if these 8 days.....6 days would walk and 2 days vehicle ride. It was fixed it to meet the other group members at Shimla. Our trek for Bhaba would start from Kafun village, at a distance of approximately 210 Km from Shimla. We were a group of 16 trekkers. In the first day by we reached the small hotel in Kafun by evening.
The next day our plan was to walk 6 km. If we trek up 1000 ft. Then we could reach our next Destination Kara. The more we trek up and look back the more we get mesmerized. Could it be so green at any place.....!! It's like a piece of Kashmir...
From noon far away we can see the Kara campsite. The shade of clouds played on the green carpet of the grassy valley After reaching Kara and making the tent, my first work was to lie down on the carpet of grass.
The Next Day was Acclimatization day. After spending 15 minutes in the pass, it is the time to reach Pin and Bhaba Pass. In between the stony-rough valley the Pin river has flown. Crossing the river we were walking towards Mangrungs. That day we had to walk nearly 11 Km. From 16 thousand and 106 feet we came down to 16 thousand and 678 feet elevation. Nearly after 12 hours of a walk and we reached Mangrungs at 4 PM.
